Artegon Marketplace will close in two weeks, retailers learned Thursday morning.

  • Artegon Marketplace to close on Jan. 26
  • The shopping complex featured shops operated by local artists
  • Previously the Festival Bay Mall, it underwent a $70 million redevelopment

The last day for the artisan, eclectic shopping and entertainment complex on International Drive is Jan. 26.

Several stores, including Bass Pro Shops, the Cinemark movie theater, Boot Barn, Ron Jon and Fuddruckers, will remain open.

The 452,192 square-foot mall has been on sale since 2016.

Artegon Marketplace opened in 2015 after undergoing a $70 million redevelopment. It replaced the Festival Bay Mall.

It features a variety of shops and booths operated by local artists who sell clothing, jewelry and more. Artegon also features Gods & Monsters, the second largest comic book store in the U.S.

The Lightstone Group, which owns the property, has not released details about future plans for the facility but said in a statement that it's taking Artegon "in a new direction."

UPDATE: This story was updated 6 p.m. Jan. 13 to add more stores that would be staying open at Artegon, per the Lightstone Group.
