Markeith Loyd appeared before a judge again Friday for new charges in the death of Orlando Police Lt. Debra Clayton.

The 41-year-old is accused of fatally shooting his pregnant ex-girlfriend, Sade Dixon, on Dec. 13 and shooting Clayton on Jan. 9, when she tried to apprehend him at an Orlando Walmart.

Loyd has been charged with first-degree murder of a law enforcement officer, attempted first-degree murder with a firearm of a law enforcement officer, carjacking with a firearm, aggravated assault with intent to commit a felony and possession of a bulletproof vest in commission of a felony.

The new charges were filed Thursday evening.

During his second court appearance of the week, Loyd was once again combative toward the judge.

“Who are you?” Loyd asked the judge. “Do you have a claim against me?”

Loyd interrupted the judge as she read off the new charges filed against him.

“Excuse me, lady in the black dress, may I have your name please?” said Loyd.

When asked if he would like a public defender, Loyd failed to answer the question, and instead, repeatedly asked the judge her name.

“May I ask who your name is, ma’am? For the record please. Could you state your name, for the record please ma’am.”

The judge denied Loyd bond.

Loyd also appeared before a judge on Thursday for charges related to the death of his pregnant ex-girlfriend, Sade Dixon.

He refused an offer for a public defender and told the judge he wanted to represent himself.

On Thursday evening, additional charges were filed against Loyd, 41, for the death of Clayton. He now faces charges of first-degree murder of a law enforcement officer, attempted first-degree murder with a firearm of a law enforcement officer, carjacking with a firearm, aggravated assault with intent to commit a felony and wearing a bulletproof vest.

The charges were filed hours after the Orlando Police Department released aerial video of Loyd’s capture.

In the video from the OPD support helicopter, Loyd is seen crawling toward a line of officers. When Loyd reaches them, he appears to be kicked by one of the officers before the camera pans away.

Orlando Police Chief John Mina held a news conference after the release of the video. He urged the public not to read too much into the camera movements.

"When I first saw the camera pan away, that was concerning to me. But remember, the spotter of that helicopter, who is an OPD officer, also has a responsibility of maintaining control of what's inside the house," Mina said.

Mina also said the department is investigating use-of-force to determine whether any policies were violated.

Loyd was arrested Tuesday night, ending a nine-day manhunt. He is accused in the shooting death of Dixon in December and Clayton on Jan. 9.
