We're in for a warm and quiet Saturday before the weather deteriorates on Sunday. Here's the Central Florida weather forecast:

  • Partly cloudy skies, overnight temps in the 60s
  • Severe weather threat in Central Florida on Sunday
  • Strong thunderstorms, damaging winds expected

All over Central Florida, temperatures made it into the low 80s for our Friday afternoon. While there were a few clouds from time to time, we were able to round out the workweek with plenty of sunshine. We'll enjoy one more quiet and warm day Saturday before changes move in on Sunday.

A strong cold front will bring showers and strong storms, along with some cooler temperatures next week.

Overnight conditions will not change much from what we’ve seen the past few nights. Expect partly cloudy skies and mild temperatures in the mid to low 60s. There will again be the threat for some patchy dense fog as we head toward daybreak on Saturday.

The start of our weekend will be mostly sunny and warm with highs in the mid to low 80s. A front will start to move toward Central Florida and clouds will begin to increase late Saturday. Only a few showers will be possible Saturday night, but the main line of showers and storms will hold off until Sunday afternoon.

With the warm temperatures and high dew points, strong storms are possible. The main threat will be damaging wind, but an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out. Stay tuned to News 13 for updates throughout the day.

Some rain will stick around into early Monday, but we'll start to clear out as we head into the afternoon. Strong winds out of the north will bring in some cooler temperatures. Highs Monday and Tuesday will only be around 70 degrees.

If you're heading to the beach Saturday, there will be a low rip current risk. Higher winds, however, will create a bit of a chop on the ocean and waterway. Conditions will deteriorate considerably by Sunday. Hazardous beach and boating conditions to end the weekend.
