Last year, a company called 4moms touted a self-adjusting child car seat. Is it in the right spot? Are the straps tight enough? It adjusts itself, helping reduce the work and worry.
This year, 4moms is showcasing a tech-fueled stroller for that car seat.
Parents strap a child car seat into a moxi stroller and...
"It's power on board," said Amie Ley of 4moms. "We actually put generators in the back wheels so as you push the stroller, you're generating energy that powers an LCD screen that shows your mileage, how fast you're going, how many calories you've burned. You can also charge your cell phone right from the stroller."
The stroller also comes with head lights and tail lights.
"It's a great safety feature when you're out and about at night. People can see you," Ley said.
The stroller adjusts for a growing child.
"You can use it from infancy to about 55 pounds," Ley said. "The seat actually transforms into three different configurations. You can use it from a bassinet to a parent-facing to a forward-facing seat, which is great."
The set combined, with stroller and seat, costs about $1,200.
