A precautionary boil water notice has been issued for parts of Kissimmee, the Toho Water Authority announced Saturday.

The advisory is due to an emergency repair conducted on a water main.

It affects customers living off of Peabody Drive, from Banbridge Drive to Carlisle Court.

People are urged to boil their water for at least a minute before consuming it. That includes water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth or washing dishes.

Bottle water can be used as an alternative.

The boil water notice will remain in effect until rescinded by Toho Water Authority.
