The streets around the Pulse nightclub in Orlando look at little different Wednesday morning as work crews began painting a rainbow crosswalk on Esther Street overnight.

It is a new way to honor the 49 victims who were killed in the terror attack in June of 2016.

City workers started the crosswalk overnight and hope to complete it before surrounding businesses open their doors Wednesday morning.

The crosswalk was approved by the Florida Department of Transportation.

On Monday, city commissioners approved onePULSE Foundation's plans to add a new fence and seating around the club.
