Here's your Central Florida area weather forecast for late Friday into Saturday morning, with a look at conditions through the weekend.

Some of you woke up with hit and miss showers Friday morning, and as we worked into the afternoon hours, more scattered showers and embedded storms developed and quickly pushed west-southwest across the peninsula.

The same can be expected this weekend, with the highest chances for rain at 60-percent across Osceola and Brevard Counties. Low end 30 percent chances exist from Marion into Flagler Counties.

In between, we’ll go about 40 to 50-percent chances for showers and storms through Sunday.

Highs are set to climb into the mid 80s at the coast, and upper 80s inland. Rain chances bump back up Tuesday and Wednesday and temps bump down into the lower 80s.

A brief update on Ophelia, as the storm remains a hurricane and will pass just south of the Azores over the weekend.

MARINE

An east to east-northeast swell and moderate on shore winds may make surfing a bit tricky heading into the weekend. Even with wave heights running up to shoulder high at times, overall forecast conditions look poor.

The rip current threat stays moderate, so make sure you’re paying attention to lifeguard flags and directions. Sea surface temps are in the low 80s.
