A Palm Bay homeowner and her dog got quite a scare Friday afternoon -- a gator encounter.
- Gator spotted near Bayside Lakes Boulevard
- Woman was walking dog when she saw gator
- Trapper called to scene to relocate gator
It happened at the home on Andrus Avenue near Bayside Lakes Boulevard about 1:30 p.m.
Police said the woman was walking her dog and saw the 3 to 4 foot gator in the driveway.
They scampered back inside and called authorities.
A trapper was called in to relocate the gator, who was hiding in a storm drain.
Some parts of Brevard County remain flooded after Irma, and wildlife is often coming to areas they don't normally do.
