Accused cop killer, Markeith Loyd was back in court Tuesday morning for an otherwise normal status hearing.

  • Markeith Loyd attended 10-minute status hearing
  • Loyd told judge he was willing to take a polygraph test
  • Loyd's first murder trial is scheduled for September 2018

Loyd, who is accused of murdering his ex-girlfriend, as well as an Orlando police officer, sat quietly in the 10-minute hearing where attorneys schedules and possible witnesses for Loyd's trials.

Then at the end of the hearing Loyd told Judge Frederick Lautern that he told his attorneys he was willing to take a lie detector test.

Polygraph tests are admissible as evidence in Florida, as long as state and defense attorneys agree to their use.

Prosecutors have not asked for Loyd to take a polygraph test yet.

Loyd's first murder trial, in which he is accused of murdering his pregnant ex-girlfriend Sade Dixon, is scheduled for September 2018.

His second trial for the shooting death of Orlando Police Lt. Debra Clayton will scheduled at a later date.
