The clouds and scattered showers have been persistent this evening, and the activity will likely overnight.

  • Scattered showers
  • Windy, partly sunny
  • Cooler, drier weather next week

Expect a few scattered showers, with the best chance for activity in areas southeast of Orlando. Overnight lows will be in the mid to upper 60s.

Rain chances will continue into Sunday. The northeasterly flow will continue, dragging showers from the Atlantic into the area. Highs will be back in the low 80s. It will again be windy, with gusts at times over 30 mph.

Slightly drier air will begin to impact the area to start next week. We’ll see partly cloudy skies both Monday – Wednesday with highs in the upper 70s to low 80s. A few showers will be possible each day, with the best chance for activity along the coast.

Even more dry air pushes towards Central Florida by late next week, reducing rain chances even further. An isolated coastal shower will still be possible with temps in the 70s.

There are some early indications that our next cold front may arrive for next weekend.

In the tropics, a new area of development may form in the open waters of the Atlantic. This area will likely be southwest of the Azores and now has a medium chance of development.

Elsewhere, no major activity is expected over the next 5 days.
