Central Florida kicked off this Wednesday with plenty of sun and pleasant temperatures, although a few afternoon clouds are mixing in across parts of the area.

Breezy conditions can be expected, with winds dying down Wednesday night. Any isolated showers will remain in southern Brevard County southward.

High pressure expanding over the southeastern U.S. is bringing drier air down into Central Florida for Wednesday.

Many are also watching a weak trough of low pressure from the Gulf Stream off the east coast down into the Bahamas. This is keeping winds up, but is also helping produce a few off-shore showers again, especially from southern Brevard County southward.

Enjoy more sun with a few fair weather cumulus clouds, and highs in the mid to upper 70s. Central Florida will see upper 50s and lower 60s Wednesday night, then into the upper 70s and lower 80s under a mostly sunny sky Thursday through Sunday.

The weekend cold front is slowing and looks like it will not pass by until later Sunday. Limited moisture means an isolated shower, and temperatures are not looking as cool behind the front.

Wave heights of four to six feet Wednesday will be churned up like a washing machine, thanks to a northeast wind swell and swell mix.

Poor, rough surfing conditions are in the forecast, although general beach conditions improve and the wind dies down on Thursday.

Sea surface temperatures have cooled into the low to mid 70s along the east coast.
