The manhunt continues for the man who is accused of sexually assaulting two teens and then killing one of them, investigators say.

Sumter County Sheriff's Department investigators have been searching for Larry Darnell Peavy from Sumter County to Ft. Pierce.

Investigators say Peavy beat and sexually assaulted Aleaya Jackson and another 16-year-old girl after he brought them to a home Saturday for a party.

Peavy then drove the other 16-year-old girl to Tavares and then his car was found in Ft. Pierce in St. Lucie County where his sister lives.

Investigators say Jackson's body was found in a home that he rented on South Pine Street.

Investigators also stated Peavy is a longtime family friend.

On Wednesday night, the community held a service to honor Jackson. The community and Jackson's family came together to honor the young girl.

The pastor called on the community to support Jackson's family and help them find peace as they wait for justice.

The prayer vigil was held just a few blocks from where she was found.

Outside of the home, a makeshift memorial is growing.

Friends and family have been dropping off pictures, flowers and candles as they remember the 16 year old.

"I want to talk to this man. You’ve got to tell me what happened, you’ve got to tell me what happened to my daughter. I want to know,” said Michael Jenkins, the girl's father.

Peavy is facing multiple charges including murder, kidnapping and sexual assault.
