Johnterriel Carey, 22, turned herself in to authorities after a warrant was issued for her arrest, said Sanford Police in a news release.

Carey reportedly failed to provide detectives with the cell phone used the night of the homicide.

Investigators say they believe Carey has information about the Nov. 22 shooting that could help them find the suspects who shot Haggins. They allege that Carey was in the vehicle at the time that Haggins was fatally shot at the Overlook at Monroe Apartments.

Police say that Haggins was shot when he was sitting inside a vehicle at the complex. He was approached by two unknown men, and one of the men allegedly shot Haggins.

Both suspects fled the scene.
