A convicted sexual predator out of Osceola County who cut off his ankle monitor and went missing earlier this week has been arrested.

  • Johnathan Allen disappeared Wednesday
  • Officials say he cut off his ankle monitor
  • He was convicted of sexual battery on a child in 2005

Johnathan Bradley Allen, 33, was arrested Thursday evening after being spotted walking along Hickory Tree Road in St. Cloud, the Sheriff's Office said Friday morning.

When a deputy confronted him, Allen provided a fake name, then slapped the deputy's arm and shoved the deputy while trying to flee, the Sheriff's Office said.

The deputy and a K-9 found Allen, who was treated for a dog bite before being taken to the Osceola County Jail. In addition to being charged with violation of probation for cutting off the ankle monitor, he now faces charges of battery on a law enforcement officer and providing false information.

The Florida Department of Corrections says Allen cut off his ankle monitor Wednesday and discarded it on Labor Camp Road in Polk County.

Allen was convicted of sexual battery on a victim under 12 years old in November 2005 in Osceola County.
