A man accused of attacking a Lake County woman is facing more charges after investigators say his accusers spotted his mugshot on the news.

On Feb. 2, Robert Pascual attempted to rape a woman in the parking lot of the Ashton Chase Apartments in Clermont, according to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.

The woman was able to grab a knife from her car and stab him.

Since his arrest, two other women have come forward, positively identified Pascual as the man who assaulted them after seeing him on the news.

Investigators say all three woman reacted the right way during incidents.

“One set off her car alarm,” said Lieutenant John Herrell with the Sheriff's Office. “Another was able to get back into the car where she was able to get a weapon and fight him off and then the other was able to alert her husband.”

Pascual has also been charged with molestation after authorities say inappropriately touched an 11-year-old girl in Mount Dora.
