Rain is headed our way for Wednesday and Thursday. Here's the Central Florida weather forecast:

The skies will be mostly cloudy and muggy overnight. As we head into the day on Wednesday, we will go from lows in the mid 60s to highs in the mid 70s under mostly cloudy skies and an 80 percent chance of showers and a few storms.

An area of low pressure will slowly move across the area on Wednesday and Thursday. Some pockets of heavy rain and some gusty winds will accompany the storms on Wednesday.

A 60 percent chance on Thursday with some pockets of moderate rain possible. Highs will be a bit warmer on Thursday in the upper 70s.

Quiet weather returns Friday and Saturday with lots of sun and highs in the low 80s. A cold front slips quietly through on Saturday night and drops our highs back into the 70s with lows in the 50s.

The boating forecast looks bad for the next two days as that low moves across the area. Small Craft Advisories near shore and Gale Warnings well offshore.

Seas will be building to 5-7 feet. The winds will be variable at 20 knots. There will be a wave period of seven seconds. It will be rough on the Intracoastal Waterway.

Water temperatures are 68 degrees at Daytona Beach and 71 degrees at Cocoa Beach.
