Hello supporters! We are extremely excited to share our journey with you, from beginning steps of early learning intervention, to discovering Romeo on the autism spectrum to moving forward into a future filled with unique possibilities and everything else in between.
And boy, is there a lot in between!
Romeo is a loving, sometimes complicated, most times active, always affectionate little boy who captured my heart at first sonogram. He's my only son and the reason I stay both motivated and grounded.
As a single mom encountering these growing pains, I noticed that even I had an extreme lack of knowledge of the resources available for children with autism. This notion was immediately met by an overwhelming anxiety of where to begin.
At 5 years old, we are currently going through evaluations to determine what the next school year will hold and whether kindergarten is in the plan. This would be a big step for us!
We hope in providing details on our milestones, the resources and the very support that is made available to us, we can shine light in eliminating the "what if’s" for many families being transformed with the discovery of autism.
