A brush fire near Interstate 4 in Volusia County has shutdown one lane of traffic and caused voluntary evacuations in nearby neighborhoods, according to Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers say they are monitoring the 350-acre fire near the Deltona and Orange City border at mile markers 111 and 112. One westbound lane of Interstate 4 is closed.

Veterans Memorial Parkway is closed in both directions from Saxon Boulevard to East Graves Avenue. Roads will remain closed overnight, the Orange City Police Department said.

Residents at a nearby apartment complex and subdivision were under voluntary evacuation.

Officials say no structures are in danger.

Multiple agencies are working the fire including the Volusia County Professional Firefighters Association and the Florida Forest Service.

The fire was about 50 percent contained as of 8 p.m., according to Florida Forest Service.
