Warmer than expected weather coming the next few days, thanks to the lack of rain.

We had a mix of sun and clouds Tuesday afternoon as temperatures warmed quickly. Most had highs in the mid to upper 80s inland and mid to low 80s along the coast. Orlando did top out at 90 degrees.

With the ground being so dry, it’s actually sending up more heat and allowing for warmer than expected conditions. The dry weather is not going to improve anytime soon, but there is a higher chance for rain early next week.

Partly cloudy skies are in the forecast through the overnight hours. Temperatures will be mild, falling into the mid to low 60s. We’ll once again see areas of smoke and fog to start out the day on Wednesday. This may create some visibility issues, similar to the past several mornings.

An isolated shower cannot be completely ruled out for Wednesday as winds continue off of the Atlantic. Most will be dry with plenty of sunshine and warm temperatures. Highs inland will be in the upper 80s to around 90 degrees and mid to low 80s along the coast.

Not much will change for the rest of the week as temperatures continue to warm up even more. Walt Disney World has issued a weather advisory for this weekend's Star Wars Half Marathon -- Dark Side, warning runners to plan for warmer than usual weather.

Disney is telling runners not to overextend themselves, stay hydrated, alternating between water and electrolyte-based drinks throughout the race, and slow down and ask for assistance if they have any sign of heat illness, such as dizziness, light-headedness or nausea.

A system is expected to move through early next week and will hopefully bring some much needed rain.

Onshore, breezy winds along the coast will allow for an elevated rip current threat again Wednesday. These winds will also create a bit of a chop on the water.
