A passenger is in critical condition after being involved in an accident with deer in Hillsborough County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Dalton Lang Storie, 26, was driving his 1997 BMW on eastbound of State Road 674 at around 1 a.m., Saturday, when he swerved to avoid several deer, the FHP stated.

Storie, of Bartow, overcorrected and lost control and struck several trees and a bush before coming to a state, described the FHP.

Storie suffered minor injuries, but his 25-year-old passenger from Winter Haven suffered critical injuries and was airlifted to Tampa General Hospital, the FHP stated. The passenger's name has not been released.

Another passenger, 25-year-old Raven Uriah Walters suffered minor injuries. Walters, of Bartow, and Storie did not need to go to a hospital.

Storie was cited for driving while having a suspended license and having no insurance, according to the FHP.

The FHP noted that no alcohol played a part in the accident and all three were wearing their seatbelts.
