Flags for Fallen Vets visits the cemetery each year.

This year, volunteers place 100,000 flags in about an hour, just in time for Memorial Day.

Nikki Balasch places a flag at her father’s grave each year.

“It’s important to me to come out here and recognize each and every soldier that we can to thank them for just that moment, to let them know they’re cared for,” she said.

Flags for Fallen Vets places flags at nine national cemeteries, including four in Florida.

On Monday, the National Cemetery Administration will host a special Memorial Day ceremony at the cemetery at 11 a.m.
