A man accused of shooting a 16-year-old boy in Cocoa has been arrested, police said.

Michael Lloyd Cooper, 19, faces charges of attempted murder.
Police said Cooper shot a 16-year-old as the teen was leaving a barber shop at the Sav-A-Lot Plaza on Dixon Boulevard.
The 16-year-old and an 18-year-old were pulling out of a parking space when Cooper fired shots into the vehicle. The 16-year-old, who was sitting in the front passenger seat, was hit in his lower back. He was airlifted to a hospital for treatment.
According to witnesses Cooper fled the scene. Investigators were able to later locate him.
The 18-year-old who was driving the car was able to positively identify Cooper as the shooter.
The investigation is ongoing.
