Four businesses were burglarized this week, and authorities say they are all believed to be related.

  • Lake County businesses burglarized
  • 3 suspects involved in burglaries
  • Burglaries took place in Golden Triangle area

The Lake County Sheriff's Office said the burglaries happened in the Golden Triangle area. Deputies said multiple suspects burglarized Domino's Pizza on U.S. Highway 441 but didn't take anything of value.

Three suspects also burglarized the Firehouse Subs on East Burleigh Boulevard in Tavares and tried to take cash from the registers.

Suspects also smashed the front door at the Papa John's Pizza in Mount Dora and were able to take cash. A $1,000 computer was taken from the Laptop Repair Service Center located on U.S. Highway 441 on Tuesday morning.

The Mount Dora Police Department is also working on two previous burglaries to the Jersey Mike's Subs on U.S. Highway 441.

Jairo Huertas owns the Laptop Repair Service Center and said both of his locations have been burglarized. He said he has had to drive around in the early morning hours himself.

"It would be beautiful if we had police officers patrolling the area from 3 to 5 a.m. so we can have a little bit of peace of mind," Huertas said.

Authorities said one of the vehicles involved is a four-door, dark-colored sedan.

Lake County deputies are looking for persons of interest in the burglaries.
