An investigation is underway following a reported road-rage shooting Thursday near Clermont, deputies said.

The Lake County Sheriff's Office said the scene is near the intersection of Lake Louisa Road and Hammock Ridge Road.
The victim was airlifted to Orlando Regional Medical Center.
The suspect fled the scene prior to deputies arriving, said Sgt. Fred Jones, of the Lake County Sheriff's Office.
Jones said the victim told deputies it was a road-rage situation that started at the intersection of Lake Susan Court and Lakeshore Drive. The victim told deputies that a male in a silver BMW fired shots into his vehicle.
"It is early in the investigation and more information will be provided as it becomes available," Jones said.
No other information has been released.
