A man has been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of another man at Orlando apartment complex parking lot.

Orlando Police investigating the shooting of 25-year-old Jefrey Concepcion at the Regency Gardens Apartments on Thursday morning have arrested Alex James Jones, 25, of Orlando, who has been charged with second-degree murder.

After midnight, officers said they went to the apartment complex at the 5500 block of Rosebriar Way and found Concepcion in the parking lot.

He was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center, where he died, police said in a news release.

A man, later identified as Jones, was found in the area of the apartment complex, and police say Concepcion and Jones knew each other, officials said. According to an arrest affidavit, the two were involved in an altercation over stolen property.

Jones is being held on no bond.
