Citing a move to align production levels with market demand, Sea Ray Boats laid off about 90 employees and furloughed another 130, the company said Thursday.

The reduction happened at the company's Palm Coast-based plant at 100 Sea Ray Drive. No other Brunswick facilities are impacted, according to spokesman Daniel Kubera.
Kubera said the actions are because of the market demand in the 40- to 49-foot segment of the business.
The temporary furlough will take place during the third quarter.
"Consistent with our values, we take good care of our people and will continue to develop our employees and support those impacted by these adjustments," Kubera said in a statement.
An example of that, Kubera said, is Brunswick will be conducting an outplacement fair to help laid-off individuals transition to other employment.
"As for those on furlough, the company is offering a number of measures to help soften the impact upon those individuals," he said.
