The showers have shut down across Central Florida, and we are in for a quiet, but muggy, overnight. Expect partly cloudy skies for the remainder of tonight with humid lows in the low to mid 70s.

Saturday will start out quiet with warm temperatures, but we will heat up quickly once again for the afternoon. Highs will climb into the mid to low 90s with the humidity making it feel more like triple digits. There will be a slight chance for a few afternoon showers and storms.

A cold front dropping south into north Florida will increase the moisture across Central Florida and increase rain chances for Sunday and early next work week. The higher rain chance will help to lower temperatures into the upper 80s several days next week.

In the tropics, all remains quiet in the Atlantic basin. No major development is expected over the next 5 days.

If heading to the coast to cool down, the water will be pretty calm. Do keep the sunscreen handy, however, with a high UV index.
