Tropical Depression Four continues to move swiftly across the central Atlantic as a disorganized system. But meteorologists expect it will degenerate to a remnant low or a tropical wave Friday.

As of the 11 p.m. Advisory, the storm has winds of 30 mph.

The depression is moving rapidly to the west at 23 mph. It became a tropical depression Wednesday night, making it the fourth depression in the Atlantic basin this season.

It's not expected to strengthen to a tropical storm and will not impact any land mass or have any threat to the Florida peninsula.

The depression will likely stay unorganized as it continues to move into an unfavorable environment and battle dry air due to a high pressure system in the central Atlantic.

Satellite wind data and surface observations indicate that the circulation of the depression is becoming less defined, and the system is expected to degenerate to a remnant low or tropical wave on Friday.

The remnant low will slowly push into the western Atlantic over the course of this weekend and just east of the Bahamas by early next week.
