Scott Carnahan, Ron Kitchen, and Jimmy T. Smith were presented with the Presidential Advocacy Award on Thursday morning in Palm Beach County.

The Florida Association of Counties honored for going above and beyond, providing leadership, and creating and advocating for sound policy during the 2017 legislative session, the FAC said.

“The active participation of commissioners engaging their legislative delegation is critical to the success of our mission," FAC President Kathy Bryant said in a news release.

The presidential award is given out annually to commemorate commissioners around the state who demonstrate exceptional leadership while partnering with FAC.
