Tropical Depression Four is slowly diminishing in the Atlantic and will likely become a remnant low tonight.

As of 11 a.m., the system has winds of 30 mph. The depression is moving rapidly to the west-northwest at 21 mph.

It remains in the open waters of the Atlantic and is over 600 miles from the Lesser Antilles.

It is not expected to become a tropical storm and will not impact any land mass.

The depression will likely remain loosely organized as it continues to battle dry air in the central Atlantic.

The current forecast has the system becoming a remnant low later today and tonight northeast of the Lesser Antilles.

The complex became a tropical depression Wednesday night, making it the fourth depression in the Atlantic basin this season.

The remnant low will slowly push into the eastern Atlantic over the weekend and early next week east of the Bahamas.

Elsewhere, no major issues are expected in the tropics over the next 5 days.
