On Monday afternoon, a solar eclipse will be viewable across the United States.

During a solar eclipse, the moon passes between the Earth and sun, casting a shadow on our planet. Americans rarely get this ideal of an opportunity to see a total solar eclipse.

If you haven't been able to get your hands on safety glasses for viewing the eclipse, here's NASA's live video stream, so you can watch it indoors or on the go.

The live stream (embedded below) begins at noon ET Monday with an eclipse preview show, then the live solar eclipse stream begins at 1 p.m. ET.
