A 73-year-old man was banned from Daytona Beach after passing out business cards to young women that read "sugardaddy seeking his sugarbaby."

  • Man banned from Daytona Beach for handing out business cards
  • Cards said 'Sugardaddy seeking his sugarbaby'
  • Officials said he violated ordinance prohibiting soliciting on beach

Volusia County Beach Safety officers did not arrest Richard Basaraba, because they did not see the act. But they said he violated an ordinance that prohibits soliciting on the beach, so he was barred from the beach for six months.

Basaraba told The (Daytona Beach) News-Journal he's "devastated" by what he considers an overreaction. He told the paper he threw out the business cards and has deleted the email account printed on the card.
