The FDNY says a total of three people were killed, with the driver of the tour bus and a pedestrian among the fatalities.
Sixteen others, including the MTA Regional Bus Operations driver, were injured in the wreck. They have been taken to local hospitals.
A source at the scene stated it appears the private tour bus ran a red light as the Q20 was making a right turn onto Northern Boulevard.
The collision spun the MTA bus around and caused the tour bus to slam into a storefront, sparking a fire.
Firefighters have since put it out. It is unclear if anyone was hurt from the fire.
Police are looking for any surveillance video in the area that shows the incident.
