Here's the Central Florida weather forecast for Wednesday evening and the rest of the workweek:

The weather will stay quiet for the rest of the overnight with partly cloudy skies and lows dropping into the low 70s. The same weather setup for Thursday with very few showers expected. The highs stay near or slightly above 90 degrees. The winds will be northeast at 5-10 mph.

We will see an increase in the chance of rain and a few storms on Friday and Saturday as the flow off the Atlantic Ocean increases as Maria passes by to our east. A 40 percent to 50 percent chance is expected both days. As Maria passes off to our northeast, some drier air gets pulled in across the area for the rest of the weekend and the beginning of next week. A 20 percent chance of showers or less is expected with highs in the upper 80s to near 90 degrees.

Boating conditions will be a bit dodgy tomorrow. Small craft should exercise caution. The winds will be out of the northeast at 10-15 knots and seas will be 3-4 feet. The wave period will be 12 seconds with a moderate chop on the Intracoastal Waterway. Water temperatures are 82 degrees at Daytona Beach and 83 degrees at Cocoa Beach. The rip current risk will be high.
