A 28-year-old Kissimmee motorist was drunk when she struck and killed a bicyclist early Thursday, troopers said.

Robert Willoughby, 50, of St. Cloud was struck from behind by a vehicle and killed at about 2 a.m. as he rode northbound on Canoe Creek and Nolte Roads in Osceola County, troopers said Friday.

Florida Highway Patrol investigators determined that Megan Marie McGath, 28, of Kissimmee was behind the wheel of a 1997 Honda Civic that struck Willoughby, a crash report said.

She has been charged with DUI manslaughter, providing false information to an officer, driving with a suspended license and causing the death of another and has been booked into the Osceola County Jail.

Jorden Kursten Gardner, 21, of Kissimmee was a passenger in the Honda but was unhurt.

The crash is still under investigation.
