A Florida Amber Alert was issued for Makayla Fisher after Orange County deputies determined she had been abducted by her step-grandfather, 50-year-old Darrell Mills.

Deputies initially responded to the home on Elderton Drive at about 2:15 a.m. after receiving a verbal disturbance call.

A search began shortly after deputies arrived. A reverse 911 call to residents was initiated at about 6:24 a.m., followed by the Amber Alert.

More than 100 personnel from the Orange County Sheriff's Office responded to the area to help with the search.

A few hours later, a witness spotted Fisher and Mills and flagged down a deputy.

Mills was taken into custody and booked into the Orange County Jail. He faces a felony kidnapping charge, however, investigators said more charges are pending.

Deputies said Fisher was in good condition.

Detectives from the OCSO's Sex Crimes and Child Abuse units are conducting investigations.
