Negotiations continue on Thursday on how to handle the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, or DACA program.
President Trump made his position on DACA clear: No wall, NO DACA.
The DACA program is about to run out for so-called "dreamers" or young immigrants who came to the U.S. illegally as minors.
A group of conservative lawmakers came up with a plan, which would authorize a border wall construction and gives DACA immigrants a three-year extension, but with no path to a green card or citizenship.
Vice President Mike Pence appears to be on the same page with them.
We’re going to BUILD THE WALL. We're going to END CHAIN MIGRATION. We’re going to END THE VISA LOTTERY PROGRAM, and we’re going to address DACA. But this administration is going to do it in a way that will meet the expectations of the American people. #MAGA pic.twitter.com/GY2YXbY7BJ

However, Democrats want urgent action to stave off deportation of some 800,000 immigrants currently protected by an Obama-era DACA program.
Then there is a bipartisan plan in the works that lawmakers hope to unveil this weekend.
However, some Democrats are not happy with the president's terms.
Iowa U.S. Representative Steve King tweeted:
A DACA Amnesty in exchange for a wall and enforcement would be the LAST deal of a Trump administration. Unless a second amnesty is served up to trade for more enforcement. No civilized nation should be held hostage to amnesty as a requirement to secure its border.

Meanwhile more than 100 CEOs, including Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg, Tim Cook of Apple, Microsoft president Brad Smith and Amazon’s Jeff Bezo, sent a letter to lawmakers this week urging them to support Dreamers.
