This year's air show will now be March 24-25 — a weekend later — to accommodate the Thunderbirds, which will kick off their show schedule in Melbourne.

“We are thrilled to be able to host the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds for their 2018 season opener,” Melbourne Air & Space Show Chairman Bryan Lilley said in a statement.

This year is the Thunderbirds' 65th year as the Air Force's demonstration team.

The air show will be at the Orlando Melbourne International Airport for the fifth straight year. In the past, it's drawn flying teams from around the globe.
