Sky conditions varied Valentine's Day, and those who saw more sun warmed well into the 70s and even some lower 80s. Those stuck in the clouds and haze were held back in the 60s.

Visibility was down with widespread dense fog early Wednesday morning, although most of us burned it off shortly after sunrise. Plenty of clouds hung around, but we started to see big sun breaks throughout the afternoon.

Highs were spread out from the 60s north, to the 70s elsewhere. We even had a few locations top the lower 80s south and east of I-4 in locations picking up more sunshine.

We’ll have enough moisture around again overnight for areas of dense fog, then we can expect a mostly sunny and warm stretch taking us into the weekend.

Highs Thursday right into next week are forecast to remain around eight to 10 degrees above average, topping the low to mid-80s. As a matter of fact, it looks like this pattern will stick around indefinitely, as spring has sprung early.

We’re in store for a couple fair days in our surf, thanks to wave heights running waist to occasionally chest high and an east-southeast swell and lingering northeast swell mix.

A long-period swell will also keep us in a moderate rip risk right into the upcoming weekend.

Warm temps return though, and with plenty of sunshine, you’ll want to remember the sunscreen!
