  • Girlfriend, Cosme-Feliciano, died from diabetes complications

Yeshua Obed Ramirez, 19, was arrested Thursday. Authorities accuse Ramirez of neglecting care of his girlfriend Fabiola Cosme-Feliciano, who ultimately died after getting sick from diabetes symptoms.

Deputies say the investigation began Dec. 4, 2017 after deputies found Cosme-Feliciano unresponsive, who was in the company of Ramirez.

Ramirez reportedly told deputies that Cosme-Feliciano was sick for some time because she couldn’t afford diabetes medication.

She was transported to an area hospital, where she later died.

According to a news release, deputies say they learned Ramirez had prior knowledge of Cosme-Feliciano’s medical condition, and he allegedly failed to provide care himself or call for help, even though he allegedly watched Cosme-Feliciano’s health deteriorate over several days.

Ramirez also partook in illegal drug activities while Cosme-Feliciano was alone and ill, deputies allege.

Ramirez is being held at Osceola County Jail with $100,000 bond.
