Students should have a GPA of 3.0, attend an accredited institution of higher learning full-time, and self-identify as “out.”

The scholarship fund was created in 2017. Last year, eight students were awarded scholarships.

“It’s an honor for Central Florida Foundation to continue hosting The 49 Fund and supporting the educational goals of LGBT students in our community,” said Mark Brewer, president and chief executive officer at Central Florida Foundation.

Applications will be accepted through March 21.
