Jury selection for Noor Salman, the wife of the Pulse gunman, starts Thursday.

Newly unsealed documents are shedding light on the defense strategy, who will be attempting to convince jurors she was essentially a victim herself.

Salman's defense team is planning to put two expert witnesses on the stand once the trial begins.

Both people are doctors and the court paperwork shows the two would present expert testimony key to the defense's case.

The first expert is expected to claim that Salman was a "severely abused woman who realistically feared for her life" in the relationship with her husband.

The paperwork goes on to explain the second expert would testify that "Salman is more vulnerable than the general population."

That would be a defense for why Salman may have lied or left out key information when speaking to the FBI after the shooting.

Salman is charged with aiding and abetting, and obstructing justice by lying to investigators. She faces life in prison if convicted.
