We watched a weak front pass by to our northeast Wednesday, bringing a reinforcing shot of cool air and a gusty wind.

The wind subsides overnight, and with a clear sky and calm wind, our temps will tumble quickly.

Many central Florida neighborhoods will drop into the 30s with 40s across the Orlando metroplex. A freeze warning has been issued for Marion County, as lows dip close to 30 for two to four hours. Patchy frost will be possible in other areas as well, especially north and west of I-4 and outside the big city.

Sunshine is with us the next several days, with highs in the lower 70s Thursday, mid to upper 70s Friday, and lower 80s this weekend. Our next rain chance holds off until Monday with highs in the low to mid-80s. Cooler air spills south by Wednesday.

Poor to fair conditions are expected in the surf Thursday, as a lingering northeast swell and wave heights of two to four feet remain in place.

A moderate rip current threat is also sticking around. Sea surface temps are still a bit chilly in the upper 60s along our east coast.

The UV index will be very high, so around 15 minutes to start a good sunburn.
