Lake County crews investigated suspicious substances that turned up at facilities in Mount Dora and Leesburg.

Mount Dora Police units were called to a post office facility at 2751 Old Highway 441 after a white powder was found in an envelope, exposing 12 employees.
Lake County Fire Rescue's hazmat team investigated and determined the powder was not a biohazard.
In the second instance in Leesburg, a Social Security officer on 14th Street came across a letter that said enclosed white powder was anthrax.
Investigators determined the white powder in Leesburg was baking soda.
