Just in time for Halloween, the Coca-Cola Orlando Eye has a creepy new addition.

  • Orlando Eye transforms for Halloween
  • Giant spider, new light show, Halloween music
  • Celebration now through Nov. 4

A 60-foot spider has been placed on top of the building in front of the 400-foot observation wheel.

The spider is part of the International Drive attraction’s “Spooky Nights and Spider Frights” experience.

Once night falls, the wheel transforms into a giant spider web.

Visitors will also be able to enjoy a 10-minute show featuring 64,000 LED lights synchronized to Halloween music.

The light show will be performed at 8 p.m. each night through Nov. 4, with an additional 10 p.m. performance on Fridays and Saturdays.

Four of the capsules on the Eye will be decorated with Halloween items, including spiders, ghosts and petrified pumpkins.

There’s also a photo opportunity: visitors will be able to take a “spider selfie” using a themed Snapchat filter.

“Orlando is fast becoming the world’s Halloween Vacation Capital and we are thrilled to bring our guests a spellbinding program of spooky family fun and the ultimate spider selfie,” said Jacob Kristensen, general manager of the Coca-Cola Orlando Eye.
