In this edition of Theme Park Roundup, Cirque du Soleil buys Blue Man Group, fans petition to keep auction scene in Pirates of the Caribbean and Disney World adds another restaurant to mobile ordering.

Blue Man Group joins Cirque du Soleil

Cirque du Soleil, the colossal entertainment group, has acquired Blue Man Productions.

The Montreal-based company says the decision came as it plans to expand globally.

The Blue Man Group operates shows in five U.S. cities, including Orlando at Universal CityWalk.

Cirque du Soleil’s La Nouba show at Disney World is set to close at the end of this year.

“We wants the redhead” as-is

Some fans aren’t happy Disney is changing the auction scene in its Pirates of the Caribbean ride.

Thousands have signed a petition asking Disney to “keep the redhead” the way she’s been since the ride opened.

Disney plans to change the character to a pirate, who helps lead a loot auction, instead of being sold at a bride auction.

The new scene is set to debut at Disney World in 2018.

Disney World mobile ordering

D-Luxe Burger has been added to mobile dining at Disney World.

Guests can use the My Disney Experience to preorder their food at the Disney Springs restaurant.

Other restaurants that offer mobile ordering include Flame Tree Barbecue, Pizzafari, Restaurantosaurus and Satu’li Canteen—all located at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
