The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced today that they were awarded CB Danny Gorrer off waivers from Seattle.

Gorrer, in his third season, has played in 14 NFL games with one start. He began his career as a college free agent with New Orleans in 2009. After spending the first eight weeks of that season with the Saints, Gorrer was signed to St. Louis' roster where he played in three games, with one start.

Gorrer (6-0, 180) was with Baltimore during the 2010 and 2011 seasons, where he played in 11 games, totaling three tackles and four passes defensed.

Gorrer was a two-year starter at Texas A&M University and finished his Aggies career with 141 tackles, two sacks, one interception, 13 passes defensed and two forced fumbles. A high school track star in Port Arthur Texas, Gorrer recorded a 4.4-second 40-yard dash at his Pro Day prior to the draft.

The team also announced that it has signed G Chris Scott to the team's practice squad.
