A Melbourne Holy Trinity team firing on all cylinders, coupled with a Harmony team coping with injuries, won in a sweep on Wednesday night in the first-ever meeting between the two teams televised by Bright House Sports Network.

The Tigers (5-4) took out the then-unbeaten Longhorns (6-1) in three games by scores of 25-19, 25-12 and 25-19.

The Tigers had a balanced scoring attack led by senior Izzy Carmona -- a Florida State commit -- with seven kills, Gabrielle Dixon with six kills and Chelsea Pruitt with five kills.

The Longhorns struggled with injuries before the game even started, as Aubrey Runnels was scratched after landing on the foot of a teammate during warm-ups, and Alexis Trowbridge left in the first game of the match.

Both teams were good on the serve, combining for 31 aces, with 18 coming from Holy Trinity.

The Tigers return home to host Melbourne High School on Thursday, while Harmony gets a couple days to heal up as the next play at Eau Gallie on Monday.
