Palm Harbor University hosted East Lake Wednesday night in the much anticipated district showdown between two Pinellas county powerhouse teams.

The Hurricanes were victorious on both sides of the roster, with the boys final score 120-63 and the girls, a much closer victory, 98-88.

Recent Michigan commit Tristan Sanders led the way in the 200 medley relay on the backstroke leg for the first win of the night and followed it up with an individual victory in the 200 IM.

Also for the Hurricanes, senior Garrett Hoce was a two-time winner in the 100 and 200 free.

On the ladies side, East Lake came out strong in the 200 medley relay as they won by 0.6 of a second with Sydney Pickrem, Annika Smith, Alexandria Aitchison and Michelle Turek

Turek went on to win her two individual races in the 100 and 200 Free, but PHU's depth was enough to push them past the Eagles.
