The dual meets are done and county championships are complete, it's time for swimming's postseason!

Lakewood Ranch dominated a week ago winning both the boys and girls meets. Braden River finished second in the boys and third in the girls, with host team Saint Stephen's squeezing in for second on the girls side.

"Really since the FSPA's last month, the team as a whole has performed above and beyond," said Saint Stephen's head coach Lee Cucchi. "And after seeing how well the girls swam at county's, I feel we have a chance for a couple relays and individuals to qualify for states."

Falcons' junior Lauri Schleicher won the the 50 free in a time of 26.31, followed by her teammate Lauren Csubak, giving a pretty indication that the girls could put together a strong foursome in the 200 and 400 free relays.

Saint Stephen's will travel to Northshore Pool on October 26th to compete in the 1A District 8 meet.

The county champions, Lakewood Ranch, won eight of the nine boy's individual races and all three relays at the county championships. The girls weren't too far behind, winning six of the nine and all three relays.

The Mustangs' Luke Hanner (200 IM and 100 fly), Danny Erlenmeyer (200 and 500 free) and Sydney Panzarino (100 free and 100 back) were double winners.

Braden River's Ryan Walker secured a win in the 50 free and Paige Lewandrowski in the 500 free.

Lakewood Ranch and Braden River will compete November 2nd at Sarasota High School in the 3A District 8 meet.
